Very good/great condition! Copyright 1945. Heritage Club. 31 Sepia-tone drawings by R. J. Holden. Oatmeal-colored full cloth binding still fairly tight, no D/J. Very vivid, like new red + blue decorative spine w/gilt lettering. Oatmeal and blue headband, striped greyish blue + brown top edge. Square edges, no bumping, cover great!, very slight darkening due to age. Very slight foxing on endpages. "The American Poets" Heritage series. Very clean pages, no markings whatsoever, slight tanning on edges. Sepia-tone frontispiece, portrait of author by Wyatt Eaton, 1878 as engraved by Timothy Cole. Can see hand sewn binding between introduction and Table of Contents pages. Beautiful back flyleaf drawing.
