VERY GOOD! BCE ©1952. So cute! Wilbur the pig is bored and lonely until he meets Charlotte the spider. Charlotte is a strong and beautiful female character. 47 b/w drawings by Garth Williams are charming! Two toned blue spine and 1/2 board w/beige other 1/2 board cover is in pretty great condition! The Blue part has a black stamped imprinted image of a lgirl bottle feeding a pig and the beige part has a silver spider web stamped and imprinted on front cover. Blue spine w/silver lettering + black spider image. Mostly squared corners, chips at spine head and tail. Dust stains on bottom edge. Blue top edge paint in pretty good condition. Special dark golden papers on pastedowns & endpages. Inscription on front endpage: 1972 To Dana From Mama, with Lots of Love & kisses -- otherwise NO MARKINGS, NO SOILING in book. Uncut fore edge. Cream headband. D/J is hanging in there, some sm-med tears, bends, light soiling, rubbing to back, but color illustration on front is still captivating! One of my all time favorite children's books! So sweet! This author wrote Stuart Little too.
